The Bureau of Human Nutrition and Home Economics demonstrates a space-saving, efficient U-shaped kitchen. What features would you like in your kitchen? Would you rather have a large but inefficient kitchen, or a small but efficient and organized kitchen?
The storage bins are a great place for roaches to live. The handy first aid station would be great for all the pinched fingers in the bifold cabinet doors.
Note that the model moves like a robot, and never speaks or smiles. I think she is loaded up on cough medicine.
After this kithen was designed MacDonalds came along and wiped it out. After that she joined the work force and became a wage slave instead of a kitchen slave.
What would I like in my kitchen ? Someone to clean up after I have baked or cooked and then do the dishes for me !!! Kinda like those behind the scenes people on Martha Stewart's shows...after they are done working, I get all the praise and none of the mess and they just disappear as the show credits roll !
Haha! I actually really like a couple things that the kitchen had. My Grandma had the pull out table that the model used for canning, I remember many meals, Easter egg dying, cookie, and cupcake decorating and craft projects there, I'd LOVE something like that for my kids. I also love the serving station with the drawers on the counter for the knives spoons and forks.
I just found this post and watched this. I love the ideas. I was worried about pantry moths finding the flour, or cereal bins but in general there were so many good ideas. Also they used so little a space many people could do this kitchen. I hope to incorporate a few of the ideas in to my kitchen. Wish I could have it all but... thanks so much for including this kitchen video!! Sarah

Dad, I think I can safely mark you down in the "anti-Step-Saving Kitchen" category. ;D Mmmm, roach boxes...
