The Fruits of Victory

I canned some peaches! Hooray!

Glorious. As you know, there is a war on, and every quart of produce canned from one's Victory Garden is one in the eye for Kaiser Bill! The extra sugar ration is also pretty super.

Wait, where am I again? Oh geez. Sorry. Sometimes I get confused.

Wonderful...I can almost taste those delicious peaches...and no matter where you are in history, having food you canned yourself is something you should be very proud of !

Thank you, Stephanie! I hope I will not disappoint. The next post should be interesting. :D

NB- It sure is! Home canned peaches are so much more delicious than the store ones. They are so oddly hard and crunchy sometimes.

Whoah dude, that is a LOT of peaches! Did you get a bargain? Do you have a tree? Did you go to an orchard?

Yes! I have access to my mom's tree. This batch is from a kind called Reliant, which is reeeally sweet and delicious.

Ahh! For those days in Utah with Utah tree-ripened peaches! Your canning is beautiful.
